Skoro nagranie z Simfy, to jaki ma być dźwięk jak nie cud malina? Oj, ale były amatorskie bootlegi z publiki o niebo lepsze. Ale i tak szacunek, że ktoś podjął się zmontowania tego, bo na pewno są tacy, którym się bardzo podoba

A jest jakiś lepszy bootleg video z ostatniej trasy? Na oficjalny zapis nie ma co liczyć, więc choć jeden bootleg z pamiątkowej trasy pasuje mieć.

Dvd of the concert Mark Knopfler gave at Nimes on the 22md of July of 2010, as bonus track i added 3 songs
from the concert in lyon the day before. All videos were downloaded from YOUTUBE IN FULL HD, both video and
sound qiality are very very good.
This is a multicam dvd so despite being a "youtube dvd" it's really a must have, at least until someone
makes one with the original sources... overall i used 6 cameras and here i explain them:
Camera 1: recorded the entire concert, front and far from the stage but with a lot and very nice close-ups.
Camera 2: recorded about half of the songs right and far from the stage.
Camera 3: recorded 9 of all 15 songs a little bit left from the stage but very very close to it.
Camera 4: recorder every song but on most of them it just recorded about a minute and a half of them,
on Telegraph road, Brothers In Arms, Speedwat At Nazareth and Sultans Of Swing it filmed almost the
entire solos.
Camera 5: Only filmed a small part of Speedway At Nazareth
Camera 6: Only Filmed a small part of Hill Farmer's Blues

I REPEAT, ALL VIDEOS DOWNLOADED FROM YOUTUBE BUT WITH VERY, VERY GOOD QUALITY!!!!!!!!!!

Final comments: just wanted to mention that i spent a lot of time (months!) on this project, i put a
lot of heart and passion to it not only so i would have it in my collection but so that the rest of Mark's
fans could have it (otherwise i wouldnt be uploading it ).
I really hope you enjoy it the same as i...

Ktoś rzeczywiście napracował się przy tym projekcie. Ogląda się jednak kiepsko ze względu na trzęsące ujęcia. Jednak dla fana stanowi miłe wspomnienie.

Podczas Speedway at Nazareth Mark nie zdecydował się wstać z krzesełka. Podczas wrocławskiego koncertu udzieliło mu się więcej emocji. Dla mnie jedna z niezapomnianych chwil w Hali Stulecia.

The famous Nimes concert of Dire Straits during their last On every street world tour in 1992. It's one of their last concerts of the tour (which ended on 9th October 1992) and the last soundboard recording of the tour. The recording is taken from first generation VHS tape, so very good picture quality. The sound has been taken from the best sounding audio bootleg. Complete concert, great performance of the band.

Mark Knopfler takes his former Dire Straits band mate John Illsley on a journey to discover the six guitars that defined his sound and music


It begins in the music shops in Central Arcade in Newcastle, where Knopfler spent many a childhood hour staring longingly through the shop window at a Fender Stratocaster. There, Knopfler unveils his first-ever guitar, a Höfner V2 that cost his dad £50 in 1964.

Unable to afford an amp, Knopfler recalls blowing up several family radios before he landed a job as reporter and moved to Leeds in 1969. Heading to nearby Robin Hood's Bay, Knopfler introduces Illsley to blues artist Steve Phillips, with whom he used to regularly jam and who sold Knopfler his second guitar, a louder and more garish National that would be made famous by the cover of the Dire Straits' fifth album Brothers in Arms.

As Knopfler moved to London in 1973 and formed Dire Straits, he splashed out on the Fender Stratocaster he had wanted since his school days. He and Illsley reminisce about the early days of Dire Straits as they visit the house that was originally Pathway Studios where they, along with Elvis Costello, Madness and The Squeeze, put down tracks. They recall gigs they played on the path outside their flat in Deptford as well as the first time one of their songs was played on the radio - an event they missed because they were moving furniture.

As Dire Straits' success grew, so did Knopfler's guitar collection. Next he turned to the Gibson Les Paul to perfect his iconic style, used on hits including Money For Nothing as well as album Brothers in Arms. As Knopfler grew tired of countless guitar changes per concert, he met Rudy Pensa, a luthier and guitar shop owner in New York. In his famous store on 48th Street, Knopfler recalls how they designed a new guitar with a wider range of sounds on a napkin in a cafe in 1980: The Pensa MK1.

Finally, the most recent chapter in Knopfler's journey as a guitarist takes him and Illsley to the workshop of John Monteleone. He crafted Knopfler's Monteleone Isabella in 2008, a guitar Knopfler considered so exquisite, he made it the subject of one of his songs.
